so, i never ever write journal entries, because mostly, whotf cares.
but. i'm so excited about this i just can't help myself, omg.

a couple weeks ago i went for an interview at a barn in alabama and i am now going to be a working student there, yayyyy!
i can bring my mare with me for free and in exchange for working (uber hard, i may add) i will get lots and lots of lessons and opportunities to show.

the barn owner/trainer is an upper level event rider AND rides PSG dressage! it will be phenomenal for cricket (my mare) and me. we need work all around, but we especially need to work on our dressage (who doesn't?), so having a very dressage savvy event trainer will hopefully work wonders for us. i am so crazy excited.

i'll be responsible for feeding/mucking, tacking up and cooling down said trainers horses, exercising some school horses and greenies, and whatever else needs doing around the barn. and my little apartment above the barn is soo adorable.

so, i leave in may. i cannot wait! it will be incredibly hard to be away from the bf, but we can definitely get through it, and this is the opportunity i've been waiting for in regards to my riding.
